Sunday night Madness

Last night was finally a good night! After what seemed to be months of being stuck in a circle of doing the same thing over and over, we had a couple close friends over and had a GREAT night! We BBQed even thought it was so cold. Of course we ate inside. Priscilla helped me out with Markus while I did the salad and I got to be girly with her daughter Isabella while she put Mark down for his nap. We had a good time eating at the table and then played with the kids all night. When Mark finally went to sleep we hung out downstairs at our bar. Yes I had a few beers, but I kicked back and socialized. I felt apart of society again.

Mark has been so fussy too lately! I think he is teething right now. He has 3 bottom teeth. He is alomst 1. Just a few more months. I just started planning his birthday party. I can't wait! Mark loves to look out the windows now and watch everything that is happening outside. I can not wait till spring and summer to take him out. I am still trying to get a picture of his 3 teeth. Not an easy task!

Christmas, New Years and Growing up

I repeat it a million times over, but I can not believe how fast Markus is growing. He has three teeth now. He is standing up and sitting down all on his own, without holding anything. Pretty soon I think he will walk. I can never get him to stop talking now. Baby talk. He says rara, lala, nanana, baba, dada... he just started yaya, mama and finally I got him to say tata. Tata is dad in romanian.

So today I am doing a little planning for his 1 year b-day. It's in April. You can never start to soon. No crazy themes or anything, just simple. But lots of family anf friends.

I missed my posts for Christmas and New Years, but it was a lot of fun this year. Mark's first Christmas. We went to family parties and spent New Years at Gabe's brothers with Markus. He went to bed before midnight of course. So we had fun. Now it is back to buisness, saving money, and cooking and cleaning and the list goes on.

busy weekend!

We had such a crazy weekend. The guys went out Friday night so my friend and I had the men stay home with the kids on Saturday and we went out. We had dinner and saw the movie Twilight. It was a good movie I think. Not a oscar movie, but a cute girls movie. I want to read the books now. Sunday we had Julia's baptism to go to. It was fun and Mark looked so cute in his outfit. Today is back to the same old stuff. I can't wait for Thanksgiving. All the good food and I don't have to cook. I will probably help with one thing or another. If I don't get another post up this week, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

Halloween Cuttie!

SO are Halloween didn't go as well as I thought. It was fun at the beginning. We all dressed up, went to the bar where the party was in a VIP room, had some drinks, but once everyone was drunk and stupid, people got kinda dumb and mean. I guess I am starting to grow out of the whole partying scene. I saw sides of some of our friends that I have never seen and don't want to ever again. Just goes to show you that you really don't know someone that you think you do.

But Mark was a cute little monkey for Halloween! And he has his first tooth now! you could see it just a little a week ago, but now it is really there. He is too cute! I am trying to get a picture of it, but that is nearly impossible. He is sitting up 100% by himself, holding his own bottle, and starting to move forward a little instead of backwards only. Gabe also got him to kinda stand on his own, but only for a few seconds. Can't wait to see whats next!

Now that Halloween is over the Holidays are moving in! Can't wait for Christmas!

High Speed...

Everything is so crazy right now. My father inlaw just moved in and is splitting from his wife, Mark is on the go , and I am doing circles. I hope all goes smooth with this divorce. So far it is, but you never know in these situations.

Mark is rolling and scooting backwards all over the place. We just went to get a gate to put up. We are baby proofing now. Mark also has his first tooth growing in. It looks sooo cute, but is hard to get a picture of. He gets cranky every now and then because of it. I have been putting teething gel on it. It seems to help a little.

I can't wait for Friday though! We are doing downtown for a halloween party. It will be a nice break for me. I love dressing up for halloween. I am thinking of being a referee, but you will find out later when I post pictures.

Crazy weekend!

This weekend was so crazy for everyone else. I got stuck at home all by myself. Gabe and the boys went to our new land in Wisconsin to do some work and I stayed home with Mark. I really missed Gabe by Saturday night. We have a family get together here this coming weekend so I have been cleaning and organizing things around the house. The house was a little upside down for the past few weeks. I got busy with so much outside the house that time flu and next thing you know your house is not yours.
Mark is also going through a lot of little things now. Everyday is something new... rashes, short naps, not sleeping through the night all of a sudden, figuring out what cereal to feed him...on and on. He is almost 6 months old now! I can't believe how fast he is growing. The funny thing is that he is crawling backwards at the moment. I am encouraging him to go forward by putting his toys in front of him. He talks baby talk and laughs so much now. He is going to be a social butterfly and a heart breaker. He gets along so well with everyone. But who's to say what will happen in the next few months.
I have a doctors appt today for Mark so I have to start getting ready. I have to start moving a few hours before any event with him. It is a circus show getting him ready.
I just don't want to go outside, it is rainy and yucky today. Compared to the 80's weather we have had all weekend. Well, that's Chicago for ya!

Get with it...

I need to write more on here. I opened this blog and feel I don't write on here at all. This week was crazy though. I was busy working and Markus had an up and down week. He is teething a lot now and wants to chew everything. Friday morning he just want to fuss and cry. I felt so bad for him, but by afternoon he was back to being happy.

Right now I am just taking it easy. Tomorrow is my birthday and I finally get to celebrate after like 3 years of not doing anything. I know! It's crazy! We are doing dinner downtown with a group of friends and then going to hang out somewhere after. I am just going to chill the whole day and go with the flow of everything. My mom is watching Mark for the night so I can enjoy without any worries. I love my mom! Well... cheers everyone! Have a great weekend!
